Reupholstering vs writing a book.

If you look at my pictures, you'll see a love seat I reupholstered a few times. I don't remember commenting on the similarities of doing that and writing a book. But it is the same plan. You find a plot/design/fabric, trace the pieces on the couch to cut from the fabric, like coming up with the outline of the story. Then you come to the sewing like writing, placing the pieces in the right place and sometimes having to redo an uneven stitch like editing your story several times. But overall when you are done with the project, you have a complete reupholstered love seat and a complete book. The two go hand in hand.

The ending of a story.

When it comes to the ending of books, do you always want it to be a happy ending? What are other ways do you like a story to end?

Wish I was cut in fourths

So much has been going on, I've been bad at posting even once a week. Tonight I sent my first out of two edits for the prequel I wrote that will be in a anthologist coming out in March. It put Secrets Revealed once again on the back burner. My goal is to get it done in the next month along with two other books in the makings. I at times wish I could cut myself in fourths and do everything needing done at once. Do you feel that way at times?

I'm still alive

Yes it's been awhile since I've written on this page (and I'm going to copy and paste this same blurb on all my pages) but putting in 10 hours a day at work at times, family life including driving kids to honor band, drivers ed, and beyond has taken my time from writing. I'm signed up for the yearly nanomamo (tongue twister isn't it.) were I have to write a book with 50,000 words.

 Besides that I have a dead line for Crave Publishing to get my story written (has to be turned in on the 15th of Dec). So I'm combining both books as my word count for nanomamo. How it turns out is my short story for the anthology based on Mafia/gangs/bikers, etc. will be a prequil to my main book. It goes hand in hand. You'll be able to read the book without the prequel, but its better if you want to understand better. It's late or very early in the morning, close to 2 am, so I'm off.
