F.Y.I.

A semicolon is used when a sentence could have ended, but it wasn't.

  1. Jeanette, that's so true, and when the writer doesn't want to take the time or skill to make a decent sentence. Em dashes are even worse. I found so many in my book, I actually had my publisher reissue the book so i could take out the majority. The other thing most writers misuese is the ellipses . . . of course not me. lol

  3. Thank you for the hints, Jeanette. It's always important to pay attention to punctuation, and other small details.
