A writer should say to himself, not, How can I get more money?, but How can I reach more readers (without lowering standards)?

  1. Very true, Jeanette. If you can't reach more people, the money won't increase! And standards are important as well.

  2. I want to produce quality work, but the money would be nice too.

  3. True to all. I've been in a couple reading/commenting groups of want to be writers. A lot of them were going/trying to be another Harlequin detailed book. Not what I liked and even if I did like reading to many details, they weren't good at it anyway. Stories can be good in a clean way. My opinion.

So...to make a long story short, yes, quality work with standards are the bulls eye in being an author.
